I know he has explicitly stated on many occasions he was very happy at Shakhtar and had no intention of leaving. I see where he's coming from - he's the captain of the team, plays CL football and is substantially rewarded. But there's also been a persistent rumour of Liverpool harbouring an interest, allegedly they've been watching him for a while, it's just that the club management was adamant about not selling him and he's never showed any intention to leave. I don't know how long until his contract expires, but given his age I suspect if he ever wanted a change, now would be the perfect time. Thanks! Most recently I heard from a good source that Siniša Mihajlović of Bologna was very interested and at least 3 clubs in Germany; Schalke, KSC and Bayern.
