Metalist Kharkiv advance with great victory over Olympiacos

Once again Metalist Kharkiv produced a stunning late goal to defeat Greek champions Olympiacos 1-0. The victory advances the Zhovto-Syni into the next round in the UEFA Cup. As with the victory over Galatasaray when Edmar scored late, the veteran Brazilian added the matches lone goal, this time with only two minutes remaining. Yet without a doubt, the home support provided Myron Markevych’s the strength to hold Olympiacos with an inspired performance. Metalist Kharkiv will be joined with Shakhtar Donetsk in the next round of the UEFA Cup and very possibly Dynamo Kyiv.
