Metalist Kharkiv triumphs in stunning fashion

It will be remembered as one of Metalist Kharkiv’s greatest victories as they defeated legendary Turkish club Galatasaray 1-0 in Ali Sami Yen Stadium. Veteran goalkeeper Oleksandr Goryainov was remarkable as he shut down an endless attacks including numerous effort by Turkish international star Arda Turan and Milan Baroš. In a stunning turn of events with nine minutes remaining Edmar scored with a drive from edge of the area to give the Zhovto-Syni the victory. Metalist Kharkiv still has their work cut out for them to qualify for the next stages as they face Olympiacos on December 3. The Greek side overwhelmed Benfica 3-1 today
