Ukrainian Cup showdown on the horizon!
By: sasha | October 30th, 2008After Dynamo Kyiv had won the Ukrainian Cup three years in a row Shakhtar Donetsk was able to wrestle the trophy from them last year. In the round of sixteen complete, favoured clubs advanced with the exception of Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk and Lviv who fell to Stal Alchevsk. With this round you saw most Premier League clubs focus more on upcoming league matches and use substitutes. However all that will change in the next round with it looking like another Dynamo Kyiv – Shakhtar Donetsk final is in the making and Yuri Semin is anxious to bring the trophy back to Kyiv.
